Meg Smith is a 17 year old singer-songwriter from Los Angeles, CA. Meg is a California Arts Scholar, a National Young Arts Award winner and has written with professional songwriters, pitching songs for Disney and other television networks.
Getting her start in musical theatre, Meg has played many starring roles such as Oliver in Oliver, Annie in Annie, and Alice in Alice in Wonderland. Meg also studies dance and is an award winning figure skater. However, she soon discovered a passion in writing and singing her own music. Ever since, Meg has written over 90 songs and counting on guitar, piano, and ukulele.
Meg often performs her songs in venues around Los Angeles and traveled along the coast of California doing her first radio and open mic tour in June 2015. She has played shows at the Hard Rock Cafe in Las Vegas, the Los Angeles County Fair, and sang at CureFest in Washington DC, raising awareness for childhood cancer. In addition to performing her own songs, Meg likes to sing covers of songs by many different artists, always making sure to add her own twist.
In August of 2016, Meg released her first music video for her single “Girls Like You.” Written about her experience at prom, the “Girls Like You” song and music video was 80’s prom inspired. Since its release, Meg has also developed a love for music production and hopes to continue developing her production skills.
Creating music and telling stories is Meg’s passion, and she’s excited to see where her music and acting will take her next.
